I am Still Alive

Hi Grade 6.

I know that I haven´t written for awhile so I just wanted to send a quick post to tell you that I am still alive. We have been very busy here in Finland.

Since I last wrote to you the following things have happened:

1. I flipped my kayak in the Seinajoki River. It is a long story that I will have to tell you when I return.

2. I went to a ballroom dancing competition and I even helped teach ballroom dancing lessons.

3. I have eaten reindeer 2 more times. Once it tasted like liver. The other time was really good.

4. I visited the city of Tampere. We ate supper at the top of a 23 metre tower that rotated. We had a very good view of all the forests and lakes in the surrounding area.

5. I visited a school where students in Grade 10 can learn all sorts of cool things like hairdressing, welding, radio broadcasting, and so on.

6. I learned that the Finnish people have ski hills the size of Little Red. That´s it...no mountainshere.

7. I also ate two new berries...cloud berry and buckthorn. I may be able to bring samples back with me.

8. I watched Finland beat Canada in world hockey...

Well, that is all for now. Perhaps I will have a chance to post pictures tomorrow.

See you then!
